As of today (06/01), Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus has a new logo to characterize its brand, inaugurating the company's even more modern positioning. This is the first time in its history that VW Caminhões e Ônibus has updated its famous emblem, which circulates in more than 30 countries, carrying goods and passengers.
"After all, it's not every day that you change the brand identifying the company anywhere, but the new logo is here to inaugurate a phase connected to the present day, which is much more digital and human. Just as Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus is moving forward in digitizing its sales, after-sales, internal processes and people management, the new symbol accompanies this movement and goes further," says Roberto Cortes, President and CEO of Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus.
The brand's entire visual identity will also be strengthened to disseminate the company's values, while transmitting lightness with a language that highlights its human side, always focused, inviting and stimulating, extolling the sense of humor that delights its employees and business partners.
"The new logo is a more modern and simpler symbol of the previous version, which has identified the VW brand for more than 70 years and represented Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus since its foundation. With simpler lines, the symbol becomes more modern in a two-dimensional design, which has a more versatile and flexible application," adds Ricardo Alouche, VWCO's Vice President of Sales, Marketing and After-Sales.
The transition process will be gradual and is aligned with the current global standard of the Volkswagen Group. First, the automaker will start the migration through its advertising campaigns, and all of its online communication, stationery and internal documents. Next, the new identity will arrive on the premises of the company and its network of dealerships and importers.
Only then, in a third stage, will the new VWCO emblem be stamped on the brand's vehicles. The transition will be smooth in order to minimize any waste of material, and all areas of the company will be involved in this planning.
