Roberto Cortes, president and CEO of Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus and also member of the Board of TRATON, met last week about 50 employees of the group, with representatives of VWCO, Scania and RIO, to deepdive in the strategy of TRATON.
Entitled Spirit Lab, for creating a collective motivation for greater collaboration between brands, the event was organized by TRATON's seven ambassadors at Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus. Chosen as representatives of different areas, they are ambassadors named to help to spread the spirit of cooperation and synergy among the more than 80.000 professionals connected to the group in the world.
During the meeting, all participants stepped into this strategy and understood in a deeper way the great inspiration behind the creation of the group: transforming the transportation industry. Leader in major markets such as Brazil and Europe, TRATON relies on the tradition of its brands to go beyond the mission of taking transportation to its next generation.
"What moves us? The certainty that together we are stronger and we have new opportunities when we add our potential. To have an idea, the three vehicle brands account for 233 thousand trucks and buses sold in 2018. We are one of the biggest players in the industry in the world ", says Roberto Cortes.Point by point, Cortes revealed the four pillars that underpin the whole logic of the TRATON GROUP towards the goal of creating a Global Champion: brand performance; cooperation and synergies; global expansion; and customer focused innovation. And exemplified the culture promoted with shared values among all — team spirit, respect, integrity, determination and customer focus.
